#1 Dads is the solo project of Tom Iansek, a valuable, proudly independent fixture of the Australian music scene for over two decades as one half of the multi-award-winning Big Scary and No Mono, and an in-demand producer (Maple Glider, Kate Miller-Heidke, The Paper Kites, Ruby Gill, Lisa Mitchell, and more).
Animated by intimate, understated arrangements and lyrical honesty, #1 Dads is a perfect introduction to Iansek’s sonic authenticity and rich, rewarding music. unveiling a brand new national tour alongside details of their forthcoming studio album Evenings In
Honduras - their first full-length release in almost twenty years.
From 1996–2010, Epicure carved out a singular place in Australian music, releasing four
acclaimed studio albums, selling out headline shows nationwide, and touring alongside
artists including Powderfinger, Silverchair, John Butler Trio, Gomez, Live and Train. A
staple of the Australian festival circuit throughout the early 2000s, the band’s breakthrough album The Goodbye Girl became a defining release of the era, producing
three entries in the Triple J Hottest 100 across 2003 and 2004.
Their signature anthem Armies Against Me reached the ARIA Top 100 Singles Chart
and landed at #21 in the 2003 Hottest 100 countdown, while 2005 single Tightrope Walker added a fourth entry to the band’s Hottest 100 legacy.
After quietly disbanding in 2010 following a farewell national tour, Epicure briefly reunited
in 2015 for two sold out Victorian performances. Now, more than a decade later, the band return with renewed purpose and an entirely new body of work.
The first taste of the new era arrived with Is There Any Way Out Now? Driven by thunderous guitars, urgent rhythms and a haunting refrain, the single captures the emotional weight and intensity that made Epicure one of Australia’s most distinctive rock bands. The song was immediately added to high rotation on Double J radio.
The forthcoming album Evenings In Honduras will be released August 21, 2026.

Rowena Wise brings her sophomore album Bad Things Feel Good * to Mojos in Fremantle this November - just her, a guitar, and a tender, point-blank look at the pain of transformation and what it means to be flesh and blood.
Written over two years of near-constant touring and recorded live over three days at The Ratshack in Collingwood with producer Rob Muinos (Julia Jacklin, Didirri), the album traces heartbreak, estrangement, and the knottier growing pains of adulthood through candid poetic lyricism. Stripped back solo, these songs lay bare the quiet devastation at the heart of the record - the knowing and the unknowing, the harm and the pleasure, the tenderness and the damage that can exist in the same breath. In a room like Mojos, that kind of honesty hits differently.
Since debuting in 2018, she has amassed over 10 million streams, earned airplay across triple j , Double j and Unearthed , and toured extensively across Australia, the UK, Europe, the USA and Canada, supporting artists including Holy Holy, Ball Park Music, Bernard Fanning and Paul Dempsey .
