The PERTH BLUES CLUB presents
Ramshackle + Chicago Blues Review
Ramshackle | 7.30pm
Ramshackle began in November 2022 after Tony and Johns jam sessions produced a pretty good sound with their melodic and complementary guitar styles with an emphasis on good blues grooves, infectious dance rhythms and interesting arrangements. They play versions of well known songs that don’t have “set in stone” guitar solos and add their own mostly improvised solos as and when required in a “shared” format... both play lead and rhythm with Tony taking most of the vocals. Regular gigs (as a duo) at the Chidlow Tavern, Lyrics Underground and a monthly residency at the Pirate Bar have been well supported and plenty of gigs are booked for the rest of 2025.
Ramshackle are John Howard and Tony Shergold. For this performance they will be joined by Hank Deberitz & Yugon Chobanov.
They have a FaceBook page called Ram Shackle Blues and Beyond with plenty of photos and videos available.
Chicago Blues Review | 9.00pm
Bill Rogers (Harmonica, Sax, Vocals), Kent “Beast” Hughes (Guitar, Vocals) and Bob Patient (Piano, Organ, Vocals) have approximately 150 years of experience between them, playing in some of Australia’s best known blues bands. With a cracking rhythm section (Pete Guazzelli on drums and Graeme Bell on bass) they will bring together that combined experience in a tribute to the greats of the Chicago Blues scene of the 1950s and 60s, including the golden era of Chess Records, with their interpretations of the music of Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Jimmy Reed, Elmore James, BB King, Freddie King and more.
