Vaikka Helsingin lähiöiden sekavat yöt ovat vaihtuneet puudelin kusetukseen ja Prisman kassajonoihin, palaa death metal -yhtye Tukkanuotta vanhan pariin yhden illan ajaksi.
Tukkanuotan ”Viimeinen Nistiretki”-debyytin julkaisusta tulee lokakuussa kuluneeksi noin 17 vuotta ja 7 kuukautta. Vokalisti Ulti-Make avaa tilaisuuden aihetta hieman tarkemmin: ”Ratface pyys niin kelattiin että vois käydä vetää”.
Edellisen kerran Tukkanuotta on esiintynyt elävänä edesmenneellä PRKL-klubilla tammikuussa 2015 ikimuistoisella ”Viimeiset Viivat”-jäähyväiskeikallaan.
Evening with Tukkanuotta on osa hardcore-orkesteri Ratfacen 20-vuotisjuhlakonserttisarjaa.

KUKKATALO
Kukkatalo julkaisi toisen albuminsa Ristiriita helmikuussa 2026.
AB
AB on Jyväskylästä Helsinkiin eksynyt rap-artisti, joka nousi pinnalle syksyllä 2025 julkaistulla biisillään Barcan paita. Biisi nousi viraaliksi someilmiöksi ja löysi tiensä nopeasti mm. YleX:n soittolistalle.
AB:n musiikissa house- ja garagevaikutteiset biitit yhdistyvät vaivattoman hauskoihin lyriikoihin. Artisti itse tituleeraa omaleimaista soundiaan optimismimusiikiksi. Kappaleet rakentuvat arjen havainnoista, kiusallisista mutta mieleenpainuvista hetkistä. Optimismi ja vilpittömyys kulkevat mukana jokaisessa säkeessä.
Debyyttialbumiaan valmisteleva AB hurmaa myös valloittavan tanssittavilla livekeikoillaan. Kannattaa todistaa!

Kissa on universumin kuumin livebändi; se on uhmakasta voimaa, värivalojen loistetta sekä korvia huumaavaa eskapismia. Todisteena näistä havainnoista historiaan on jäänyt muun muassa Flow-festivaalin täyteen pakattu hikinen Black Tent, loppuunmyyty Tavastia ja hurmoksellinen yleisöennätys Naamat festareilla. Kysy keneltä tahansa, juhlat on taattu. Kokoonpano elää, ja lavalla on parhaimmillaan nähty ydinperheen ohella jopa 14-henkinen big band. Koskaan ei voi tietää mitä tapahtuu.
Alkuvuodesta 2026 julkaistun I Hate Music -albumin myötä yhtye on uransa kovimmassa vedossa.

Elias Colin julkaisee ensimmäisen albuminsa kokonaisuudessaan elokuussa 2026
Säilä on helsinkiläinen taiderock-yhtye, joka yhdistelee musiikissaan rockin, popin, progen, jazzin, folkin ja fuusion elementtejä. Monipuolisuutta siis löytyy: mitä joku voisi kutsua koheesion puutteeksi, Säilä kutsuu variaatioksi. Yhtyeen liveshow on energinen, velmu ja vekkulimainen, mitä kappaleiden ajoittain vakavammat teemat tasapainottavat. Säilä julkaisi esikoisalbuminsa Asiaa ja fantasiaa keväällä 2026.
Westway on jättimäisistä pop rock -kappaleistaan sekä viimeisen päälle hiotuista livekeikoistaan tunnettu helsinkiläinen yhtye, joka perustettiin 2021. Yhtye on julkaissut kaksi EP:tä - Postcards (2022) ja Helsinki Syndrome (2024). Westwayn stadion-kokoinen rock kiteyttää bändin musiikillisen ytimen, jossa yhdistyy intensiivisyys, raudanluja soitto ja koukuttavat melodiat.

Metsässä soi – The Forest Rings is a multilingual, participatory and experiential contemporary theatre performance for children and the whole family!
It is an absurd adventure that stimulates the imagination of both children and adults in many ways.
The performance takes the audience into the Urban Rabbits’ absurd forest, which is full of music, different languages, play and unexpected flaps of wings. Come and join us on a journey into the world of the Urban Rabbits; an urban forest, a city, or perhaps a metro trip? Who will we meet along the way? At least Bul Bul the nightingale, for sure. And what is that big, furry, slow-moving creature? The show will end with a party for everyone – come along to drum and dance! Lee le leee!
In the performance, diversity, equality and non-discrimination are respected and valued both on stage and in the audience. The audience is given opportunities to take part in the performance, and everyone is free to participate in whatever way they wish.
The performance was prepared by Anne Korhonen, Marouf Majidi, Maria Myllykangas, Minna Savin and Outi Sädekallio-Snellman , using a group and process based devising method and in collaboration with children and young people.

Lauantaina 19.9. | Kväärinpäin X Caisa:Origin storyt
Miten minusta tuli minä? Lavalla nähdään Qoomikoiden käsinpoimima valikoima koomikoita. Odotettavissa on erityinen ilta, jossa on hyvät vibat, lämmin tunnelma ja ennen kaikkea hullunhauskat jutut!
Lauantaina 28.11. | Kväärinpäin X Caisa: Tuoretta verta
Qoomikoiden stand up -kurssin koomikonalut pääsevät kokeilemaan siipiään lavalla yhdessä konkareiden kanssa. Äläkä anna tuoreuden hämätä – ensikertalaisten show't osaavat yllättää!

The iconic Fandango series is back at Bar Tÿpo, featuring two special guest musicians and luthiers visiting Helsinki straight from the heart of the Son Jarocho scene in Veracruz, Mexico.
This time, Nordic and Mesoamerican flavours come together in a menu crafted by the guest chef, Mara Lozano together with K’u’um’s Amado Peña. You’ll be able to taste a blend of traditions prioritizing local Finnish gardens and reimagined staples of both traditions.
The day will once again culminate in a Fandango led by Jaranas del Norte: a celebration where everyone is welcome to take part by playing, singing, dancing, or by simply being present!
In the afternoon, a Son Jarocho masterclass will be led by José Mariano and Julio César Corro. In the workshop, you will learn about the rhythm and structure of son jarocho, as well as the cultural background of the tradition.
Julio César Corro is a master luthier, folk musician, and cultural educator from Tlacotalpan, Veracruz. In 2022, he received the Masters of Mexico’s Artisanal Heritage Award.
Dj Mitotl’s raw magnetic energy will blaze through electrocumbia, Latin beats and techno music on Tÿpo’s dance floor until two+ in the morning.

In this concert, José Mariano and Julio César Corro will perform traditional son jarocho music from the state of Veracruz, Mexico.
Son jarocho is a vibrant folk tradition that brings together Spanish, Indigenous, and African influences through rhythm, poetic verse, singing, and zapateado, a form of percussive tap-dance.
Both guest musicians are also skilled instrument makers. During the concert, audiences will have the opportunity to see a selection of traditional instruments and learn more about their history and craftsmanship.
Julio César Corro is a master luthier, folk musician, and cultural educator from Tlacotalpan, Veracruz. He has dedicated his life to preserving and passing on the traditions of son jarocho, as well as the craft of building instruments such as jaranas and harps.
He is also the director of the El Retiro Cultural Centre, a community-based cultural space in his hometown. In 2022, he received the Masters of Mexico’s Artisanal Heritage Award.
His son, José Mariano, is a trained musician specializing in the jarocha harp.
Their visit to Helsinki offers a rare, one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience this rich musical tradition live in Finland.

Kotimaisen nuoren UG death metallin dream team paketti!
CRYPTIC HATRED
CUMBEAST

Toinen vierailukohde on As Oy Helsingin Nihdin portti.
Tilaisuudet ovat maksuttomia. Tilaisuudessa pihasuunnitelmat luoneen maisema-arkkitehtitoimisto Nomajin edustaja kertoo pihalle toteutetuista ratkaisuista. Lisäksi paikalla on taloyhtiön edustus. Tilaisuuteen on varattu aikaa osallistujien kysymyksille ja keskustelulle.
Tapahtuma on suunnattu helsinkiläisten taloyhtiöiden edustajille ja asukkaille.
Kierrokselle otetaan noin 20 osallistujaa ja paikat jaetaan ensisijaisesti ilmoittautuneille. Varmista paikkasi ilmoittautumalla ennakkoon!

Nørdic Forms by Menzino is a contemporary art exhibition exploring Nordic identity, seasonal transformation, and the changing atmosphere of the North through five distinct seasons.
Leading Finnish contemporary artists interpret each season through unique one-of-one artworks created on Menzino's signature Rivoluzione Weekend Bags. Blending contemporary art, craftsmanship, and design, every piece offers a different perspective on the Nordic landscape.
The exhibition takes place on the 22nd floor of Kalasataman Horisontti, Finland's tallest office skyscraper, more than 100 metres above Helsinki.
Alongside the wearable artworks, visitors can experience original artworks by each participating artist, expanding the narrative behind every season.

The photographs depict the construction of the new Hakaniemi Bridge between 2022 and 2025.
Rather than presenting a chronological account, the exhibition invites viewers to follow the rhythm, events, and labour of the building process. Through the images, visitors are encouraged to pause and reflect on the unfinished and to see the city as a changing entity – one in which the builder carries out their work and gradually guides our steps onto new paths.
The exhibition will be on display from May 7 to August 31, 2026, at the City of Helsinki’s office building (Työpajankatu 8, lobby exhibition space).

KYLE ALESSANDRO (NO)
Kiertueeltaan Alessandro lupaa show'n, joka vie albumin tunnema...

Old Forest Echoes – Ikimetsän kaiku is a concert experience grown from a desire to protect the old-growth forests of Finland.
It is the vision of internationally acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Barbora Xu (Barbora Šilhánová), who, after four months of artistic research in these forests, now brings her nature-inspired music to urban audiences as an immersive indoor experience. With kantele, Chinese zither and voice at its core, accompanied by video and sounds of the woods, the concert brings the atmosphere of Finnish old-growth forests into the city.
The performance takes place within an indoor forest installation made from natural materials by environmental artist Tommi Laine . A soundscape installation by Mikko Haapoja combines field recordings from Barbora’s time in the forest with footage captured by cinematographer Ville Tanttu .
Working group:
Barbora Xu/Barbora Šilhánová : director, nature music artist
Mikko H. Haapoja : soundscape installation and sound technician
Ville Tanttu : video projections
Tommi Laine : environmental artist, indoors forest installation
Milla Aalto : forests expert
Carly Markkanen : producer
Supported by Kone Foundation in collaboration with Luontoliitto.

It’s time to get ready for a night where musical boundaries are pushed to the absolute limit. This September, we’re bringing something completely different to the Finnish scene: an event where traditional Gabber culture collides with the extreme end of the genre’s spectrum – Speedcore.
This is not a typical hardcore event, but a raw confrontation of two worlds, where only a wall separates harmony from chaos.
In September, you’ll experience what it feels like when two extremes clash:
• Gabber side: On this floor, we’ll be enjoying the finest moments of Early Hardcore. The atmosphere is handled entirely by domestic Finnish artists, making sure the Gabber spirit stays high and the vibe is exactly as nostalgic as it should be. 909
• Speedcore side: On the other side of the wall, the rules change. Arriving straight from Italy on their 10-year anniversary tour is the Speedcore Italia collective. These guys are coming to show, with a full stage presence, just how fast music can go when the throttle is truly wide open. The pace will dive deep into the most extreme realms of Speedcore and Extratone.
The perfect contrast : you can t...

Daniel Palpa’s ceramic sculptures explore manifestations of a dual cultural identity – from a wellspring of creativity to a wasteland of identity.
The artist draws on traditional ceramic forms from the Peru region and blends them with his own everyday experiences. The works comment on today’s concerns through colour and chaotic forms. They highlight the influences of Peruvian and Finnish cultures and the tension between them in the artist’s life.
The works stem from the experience of a bicultural identity. A central dilemma for the artist’s identity has been consolidating the cultures of two continents and their respective histories. The sense of isolation that arose when he arrived in Finland as a child has remained with him ever since, whilst his South American roots have endured and given shape to a third cultural perspective.
This space between two cultures serves as either a source of creativity or a wasteland of identity. What remains is a form of cultural hybrid living that challenges established assumptions and draws on the friction between differing values. The works seek to express the experience of a multi-layered identity, which is familiar to many bicultural children and adults living in Finland.

In this gamified contemporary circus performance, the gender identity clinic turns out to be an obstacle course where you may find yourself back at square one despite having overcome numerous obstacles.
The term ‘transpoli’ refers to the gender identity research outpatient clinics of HUS and TAYS. The performance simulates the gender identity clinic process and explores the unequal structures within the healthcare system and the use of power by the clinics through a game and circus.
You can take part in the performance as a player or a spectator. From the stands, spectators watch as the players make their way along – or get stuck on – a gender identity clinic obstacle course.
The players, on the other hand, are assigned a character at random, based on real, anonymous gender identity clinic stories collected and published by the Transpolitiikka collective. The following details are known about the characters: their age group, gender identity, any associated diagnoses, and other potential factors that may hinder the clinic process, such as obesity. Players can progress smoothly along the obstacle course or receive penalties, or even be sent back to the start, just like at real-life gender identity clinics.
The game has 10 places for players: if you would like to take part as a player, reserve your ticket in good time! The player tickets are not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Those with a player ticket should arrive 30 minute...

Memoirs of Mud is an absurdly playful contemporary circus adventure, where acrobatics, mud and imaginative objects collide the natural and the artificial.
Nature and artificiality – two supposed opposites – come together in Based on Kimberly’s Memoirs of Mud .
In a playful, provocative, and adventurous circus show two performers explore nothing less than life in all its complexity. Relentlessly and with acrobatic virtuosity, they navigate through sterile living environments and muddy terrain. They balance on swinging trapezes and fight with antlers made of ginger, transform handbags into greenhouses and potatoes into crowns. In this bizarre universe, there are no limits to absurdity and playfulness.

Suddenly is a solo work by Kerttu Opus and Opus Company, weaving together magic, circus and theatre into an exploration of change, loss and growth.
What does it feel like to let change wash over you? Suddenly – and other ways to change tells a story about the performer’s life, while aiming to speak to some universal experience of the contradictions of personal growth. The performance utilizes magic, circus and theatre to examine the idea of constantly shedding away old layers of yourself. In a way it is something we all want, to be better versions of ourselves and yet it is a process we rarely have control over. The show investigates the grief that accompanies such events and the themes of loss, pain and deep joy in the turmoil of the changing self.

Opus Company was founded by Kerttu and Adam Opus in 2022. The company is based in Tampere and they are interested in unusual definitions of circus and circus creation as a collaborative tool.
Central to their artistic exploration is the concept of circus dramaturgy—an approach that delves into the psychological and emotional dimensions of the human experience. 'Our performances question the traditio...

Kirsi M. Paltto and Jouni S. Laiti create installation art and sculptures at their workshop in Inari, drawing inspiration from duodji – that is, Sámi handicraft techniques and materials.
Originally from Utsjoki and currently living in Inari, the artists present installations and sculptures in the Caisa gallery, exploring universal human emotions: grief, intimacy, the need for closeness and affection. In their works, Paltto and Laiti use bark, wood and antlers, combining them with wool, textiles, rusted steel and other industrial materials. Through art, they also explore how people cope with challenging times, marginalisation and being ignored.
Kirsi Máret Paltto explores the traditional Sámi worldview and spirituality in her art: is there a place for them in today’s world? She also explores the themes of distancing, returning and restoration: is it possible to restore what has been lost? Paltto is also a writer, and her poems are incorporated into her works, deepening their message. Some of the poems are displayed as text, while others can be listened to or read via a QR code.
Jouni S. Laiti’s art explores the clash between the traditional Sámi way of life and the values of modern society. His works often explore the sense of inadequacy and hurry caused by today’s industrialised, hectic society. Through his works, Laiti contributes to social discussion and highlights the friction between nature and industrialisation. The works depict how natural habitats have been reduced as the result of human activity. I...

Cinemaissí promotes appealing, thought-provoking, and novel Latin American cinema in Finland.
Through film screenings, conversations, and other encounters, the festival offers a platform for the exhibition of Latin American culture, politics, and society. It showcases contemporary films from Latin America and the Caribbean by both emerging and renowned directors.
For two decades, Cinemaissí has created a unique cultural space that strengthens dialogue between Finland and Latin America, as well as with Spain and Portugal, whose shared languages and cultural ties enrich the festival’s framework. As we embark on our third decade, Cinemaissí’s goal is to promote integration and empathy through culture, making Latin America visible and relatable within the Finnish context.
The festival has become an established part of Helsinki’s cultural offer, not only for Latin American communities but also for Finnish audiences and other international communities.
The detailed programme and ticket sales information will be updated on the href="https://www.cinemaissi.com/">Cinemaissí website .

Jussi Rinta-Hoiska’s work has focused on social topics for almost 20 years. This exhibition features a selection of old and new photo and video works.
“My first art photograph, Lukosta valoon (‘From Lock to Light’), was completed in 2006. Almost 20 years have passed since then.
The works in the exhibition tell the story of a young girl’s journey. At first, the girl doesn’t know which way to go. She lacks information and feels like an outsider. Eventually, the girl finds a key and manages to free herself from the containment.
On her journey, the girl explores society and herself. She goes from darkness into light, learns to understand her own life and finds self-confidence through language. In the end, she grows stronger and carries on.”
A guided tour of the exhibition will be held in Finnish Sign Language on Saturday 22 August 2026 at 13.00–14.00.

OLEMA is a contemporary circus performance exploring and attuning itself to the experience of connection and the undoing of anthropocentrism.
The piece takes its inspiration from the story of an extinct bird, whose solitary song ends in silence. On the stage, acrobatics, dance, music and visual art meld together. The performance asks, what is left after a loss, and if what has been lost can still be found in the body, voice, and movement.
**
Circus offers a singular context for this inquiry: its history is entwined with the thresholds between the human and the more-than-human – from the serpent-like contortionists (käärmeihminen, ‘snake-human’ in Finnish), to beast tamers, and legacies of bodily dehumanisation.
The dramaturgical core of the work grows from the extinction story of the Kauaʻi ʻōʻō bird species. The last male of the species continued to sing its duet-form mating call even after the last female had disappeared in a hurricane in 1982. In the 1987 recording by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, heard during the performance, ever-lengthening silences open within the song – spaces for another voice to enter, a voice that no longer answers.
On stage, the circus artists move at the thresholds of acrobatics, dance, balance, and a corporeality that reaches toward the more-than-human. The electroacoustic music brings forth the pulse of the living and the finalit...

DEAD POET SOCIETY ARRIVES AT TIIVISTÄMÖ IN MARCH 2027
American band Dead Poet Society, known for their genre-defying alternative rock sound, will perform in Finland for the first time when they take the stage at Tiivistämö on Friday, March 5, 2027.
Formed in Boston and fronted by Jack Underkofler, Dead Poet Society seamlessly blends influences from hard rock, grunge, blues rock, and alternative rock. Their debut EP Axiom , released in 2015, introduced the band's raw and energetic style, which was followed by the critically acclaimed debut album -!- (2021). Their recently released new single Sinner Systems ranks among the quartet's most infectious tracks to date, while continuing to develop their dark, riff-driven sound.
In recent years, Dead Poet Society has appeared at major rock festivals including Louder Than Life and Welcome to Rockville, and the band has toured extensively both as a headliner and alongside acts such as Highly Suspect, Badflower, and The Warning. In March 2027, Finnish audiences will have their first opportunity to experience Dead Poet Society's dark yet melodically captivating sonic world live.

Jokainen klubi-illan osallistuja saa illan aikana kirjeen, jonka joku esiintyjistä on kirjoittanut. Klubi-illan toteuttavat yhdessä gaykuoro Out ’n loud ja Helsingin queer-feministinen kuoro, HQFK.
Queerly Yours! on yhteisökokemus: lämmin halaus ja musiikillinen kirje “kaikilta meiltä, kaikille meille”. Tähän konserttiin jokainen on tervetullut juuri sellaisena omana itsenään kuin on!
Out ’n loud on Suomen ensimmäinen gaykuoro, joka on vuodesta 2004 alkaen tuonut estradeille iloa, tunnetta ja yhteisöllistä voimaa. Viime vuonna 20-vuotista taivaltaan juhlinut kuoro tunnetaan energisistä esiintymisistään ja monipuolisesta ohjelmistostaan. Out ‘n loud herättää kappaleen kuin kappaleen eloon omalla karismallaan, kun lavalle nousee yli 30 gaykuorolaisen joukko.
Helsingin queer-feministinen kuoro, HQFK on vuonna 2022 perustettu yhteisökuoro, joka pyrkii musiikissaan löytämään oman ainutlaatuisen äänensä sekä sävelten avulla murskaamaan patriarkaatin epätasa-arvoistavat rakenteet ja kankeat binääriset jaottelut – unohtamatta tietysti valoa ja iloa, joita yhteinen ja rakas sateenkaa...

Nykytanssiteos kahden transnaisen siskoudesta.
Traces of Your Skin on nykytanssiteos kahden transnaisen välisestä siskoudesta.

The international contemporary dance festival Moving in November celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026.
The festival is an invitation to come together and experience works by international and local artists, whose critical thinking, visions, experiences, and dreams open small windows onto the world we are living in.
Caisa is an important partner of the festival and a central venue. The festival programme, ticket sales, and registration for the Audience Club and Soup Talks will open in mid-September.
If you wish to deepen your engagement with dance and performance, you are welcome to join the Audience Club , a group that follows the festival programme together. The Audience Club offers facilitated discussions, creative tasks, and guided exercises that support exchange and foster connections with both the works and fellow audience members.
Another way to engage with the programme is by joining Soup Talks , a series of informal conversations with artists presenting their work during the festival. Visiting artists meet a local artist and the audience around a bowl of soup and conversation. Everybody is invited to listen, ask questions, and take part in the discussion. Soup Talks are organised in collaboration with Caisa.
Moving in November takes place from 5 to 15 November 2026.

Emellan is a textile installation that visitors can step inside. This exhibition, designed to be experienced with the whole body, is made up of recycled textiles, wearable sculptures and sound.
The exhibition explores identity, memories and belonging. Clothes and materials reflect different roles and ways of being in the world. Through them, the work invites you to reflect on how the past, the community and your own experiences are present in the here and now.
Emellan is an immersive textile installation in which the body becomes a space, a memory and a shelter. Built from recycled textiles, wearable sculptures and a soundscape, the exhibition invites visitors to step into a hut-like environment where personal memories, cultural heritage and bodily experiences intertwine.
The work examines Afro-Finnishness and Fante-Swedish-Finnish identity from an intersectional perspective. In the installation, clothes serve as roles, masks and means of survival – ways of navigating the surrounding world and its expectations. The soft, touchable sculptures and participatory elements invite the viewer to experience the exhibition with their whole body, not just visually.
Emellan creates a space where time is not linear and where a connection to one’s ancestors, community and personal memories can be present simultaneously. The exhibition explores the multi-layered nature of identity through sensualness, gentleness and shared experiences. It explores what sort of spaces we can create for one another when diversity is not an exception but the norm.

Re-Charge is an electrifying bodily catalogue for alternative energy production. Re-Charge charges from love, for love.
It is part of a larger project Charge, that takes place in various neighbourhoods and communities as performances, workshops, encounters.
The joy of dance, embodiment of community and international collaboration lie at the heart of the multiyear project.
Re-Charge is a site-specific dance piece that researches ways of charging and embodies a human battery. The dance piece gets its inspiration from superheroes, beat & music - techno / drum&bass / electrodance / amapiano / nollypiano / dubstep / …, exhaustion of body and mind, euphoria of dance, Formula 1 and acceleration, video games and trancelike repetition – from energy that recreates energy. The work scrutinises the unsustainable western energy production at large and searches for playful ways to be its own bionic light and fleshy battery.
Re-Charge is specifically lit up by love. Love as the real human superpower functions as a glue of the performance filtered in various ways, taking different forms and intensities. The bodies of the superheroes vibrate, yearn and pulsate radically changing something deep inside. Many parallel paths cross and coexist, there is order in chaos and hears beat – you can´t switch them off if you wanted to. Come recharge in a bath of multilayered emotions and vibrate the night away with some ferocious dancing!
Re-Charge is a sequel for performance called Charge (2024-2025). It is a celebration of collectivity and dance craze. The project is carried out by an international dance company...
