Come try gel plate printing at an open workshop on Espoo Day at Tapiola Library! No previous experience is needed, and guidance is available in Finnish, Swedish, and English. In the workshop, you create unique prints using a gel plate and natural plants on recycled book pages with water-based paints. The works dry quickly, and you can take your finished piece with you right away as a small artwork or card. The workshop is organized by the Luovat Lyylit group.

What happens when two people try to sit on the same chair? Seat taken is playful and dynamic circus performance that explores interaction between two people about trust, disagreement, individuality and ambition – by circus means.
Internationally awarded circus performers Katerina Repponen and Pasi Nousiainen bring breathtaking pair acrobatics, physical expression and humor to the stage. The struggle about sharing space becomes a metaphor for human interaction, making the show entertaining and empathetic.
Katerina Repponen and Pasi Nousiainen is Finnish circus duo that have worked together since 2010. Kate and Pasi have captivated audiences around the world in over 25 countries, and their performances have been awarded at international circus festivals.

This interactive workshop introduces participants to practical communication and critical-thinking skills through engaging activities, small-group discussions, and introductory parliamentary-style debate exercises. Participants will learn how to structure ideas, analyze different perspectives, build persuasive arguments, and communicate effectively in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Drawing on methods used in international parliamentary debating, the workshop offers a beginner-friendly introduction to structured discussion and reasoning. Participants will explore a variety of social and everyday topics while developing skills that are valuable in education, work, and civic life.

Home Findings / A Dance Performance for Children
Synopsis:
Home Findings is a dance performance in which materials found in the performer’s own home are transformed into costumes, music, and movement. Characters unearthed from Ikea bags captivate the audience with their presence and draw them into a journey of movement that opens the imagination.
The performance is aimed specifically at families with children, but is also suitable for anyone seeking a touch of lightheartedness and creativity in their everyday lives. The performance is not participatory and does not require language skills. Communication takes place through movement and gibberish. Tsök!
