The ceremony will take place during the opening of the exhibition showcasing the ten selected projects in the fields of visual and applied arts—held for the second year running at Le Commun.
Every year at the end of summer, the BLCG Grants demonstrate the City of Geneva’s commitment to supporting the next generation of Geneva-based artists. Each grant is worth CHF 10,000 and enables the two winners – one in the applied arts and one in the visual arts – to pursue personal research or develop a study project.
The exhibition is being organised for the 28th consecutive year by the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève, which supports the artists’ projects and offers a unique exhibition itinerary, tailored to each edition. It will showcase a variety of projects ranging from photography to sculpture, painting and installations, as well as fashion design and print projects. The ten artists selected in the first round by the BLCG Grants Jury last spring each received a lump sum of CHF 3,000 for their participation in the exhibition, which runs until 2...
