Parade brings together three acclaimed musicians, Jiang Nan, Louise Grévin, and Ferdinand Doumerc, in an unusual acoustic trio that blends Chinese traditional music, folk, jazz, and contemporary influences. Cello and the mysterious guzheng (Chinese zither) meet saxophone, flute, and metallophone to create a rich and distinctive sound world. Primarily based on compositions by Ferdinand Doumerc, the trio’s repertoire leaves plenty of room for improvisation, playful grooves, and moments of quiet intensity. Through a subtle interplay of timbres, arrangements, and storytelling, Parade creates an intimate yet powerful musical experience, a unique and universal take on chamber music. --- Parade réunit trois musiciens de renom, Jiang Nan, Louise Grévin et Ferdinand Doumerc, au sein d’un trio acoustique singulier, à la croisée des musiques traditionnelles chinoises, du folk, du jazz et de la musique contemporaine. Returning to the Belle Époque Magique concert series, the ensemble La Fiamma presents a journey through more than 600 years of medieval music. Featuring voices alongside medieval fiddle, winds, recorders, and keyboards, the program explores repertoire from monasteries, courts, and everyday life. From plainchant and early polyphony to lively instrumental dances, it offers an accessible introduction to the remarkable variety of sounds and traditions of the Middle Ages. Strings of Color – The Colours Sing, the Harp Draws What happens when music paints and images begin to sing? Strings of Color is an interdisciplinary performance where harpist Alice Aubert and visual artist Silvia Fabiani create a dialogue between sound and digital art. Through an innovative interplay of live harp music and reactive visual projections, the performance blurs the boundaries between music and image, allowing each medium to inspire and transform the other in real time. Their new program, The Colours Sing, the Harp Draws – Hymn to the Alps , is a poetic tribute to the Alpine landscape. Rather than depicting mountains as a simple backdrop, the performance invites audiences to experience the Alps as a living, fragile world shaped by geology, legend, memory, and climate. Featuring a diverse repertoire ranging from Debussy and Marcel Tournier to contemporary composers, film music, and works for harp with electronics, the concert offers an immersive experience where colours, movement, and music become one artistic language. Artist Biographies Alice Aubert is a Swiss harpist trained in Lausanne, Troyes, and at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. A passionate chamber musician and educator, she has performed in numerous ensembles spanning classical, Celtic, Latin American, contemporary, jazz, and improvised music.
