Strings of Color – The Colours Sing, the Harp Draws What happens when music paints and images begin to sing? Strings of Color is an interdisciplinary performance where harpist Alice Aubert and visual artist Silvia Fabiani create a dialogue between sound and digital art. Through an innovative interplay of live harp music and reactive visual projections, the performance blurs the boundaries between music and image, allowing each medium to inspire and transform the other in real time. Their new program, The Colours Sing, the Harp Draws – Hymn to the Alps , is a poetic tribute to the Alpine landscape. Rather than depicting mountains as a simple backdrop, the performance invites audiences to experience the Alps as a living, fragile world shaped by geology, legend, memory, and climate. Featuring a diverse repertoire ranging from Debussy and Marcel Tournier to contemporary composers, film music, and works for harp with electronics, the concert offers an immersive experience where colours, movement, and music become one artistic language. Artist Biographies Alice Aubert is a Swiss harpist trained in Lausanne, Troyes, and at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. A passionate chamber musician and educator, she has performed in numerous ensembles spanning classical, Celtic, Latin American, contemporary, jazz, and improvised music.
