Welcome to GoodGym Bexley!
We're a friendly, sociable group that combines exercise with practical help for local community organisations and charities. Every Wednesday evening we get active, meet new people and complete a physical task that makes a real difference locally.
Whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out, everyone is welcome. We'll run at a pace that keeps the group together, and no one is ever left behind. Prefer to walk? We've got a walking group too.
**The task**
This week we're joining forces with Discover Welling to work on the flower planters at Westwood Lane Car Park.
The planters add a splash of colour to the area, but they need a bit of TLC. We'll be rolling up our sleeves to remove weeds and help keep them looking neat and welcoming for everyone who visits Welling town centre. There may even be some new plants waiting to be given a new home. 🌱
No gardening experience is needed—just bring plenty of enthusiasm!
Please bring gardening gloves 🧤 if you have them. All other equipment will be provided.

Meet outside reception at:

We'll head out together on a 2.5 km run to the task, with everyone staying together whatever their pace.

Bexley Bike Club has partnered with Access Sport - a charity dedicated to making sport accessible for all children - for a family open day giving local families the chance to try out BXM cycling with experienced coaches in a fun and supportive environment.
We’re going to be helping the event run smoothly by:
* Registering children as they arrive.
* Handing out helmets, knee/elbow pads, gloves, and bikes.
* Assisting coaches to set out cones and organise the children.
There’ll even be a chance for us to have a go on the bikes ourselves once the session gets underway!
It’s a great way to support the local community and a fantastic charity, and seeing the children's smiles is priceless.
There are two sessions: 10.45am - 12.15pm and 12.30pm - 2.00pm and you can help at one or both. Please leave a message below to say which session you plan to go along to.

Head to the pump track in Martens Grove Park - it's in the centre of the park at the bottom of the valley. The nearest park entrances are from Martens Avenue - opposite Grove Road or opposite Park Grove - using paths which have some steep sections.

Welcome to GoodGym Bexley!
We're a friendly and sociable group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every Wednesday evening to get active and do a physical task to help the community organisations and charities in our area.
**The task**
This is our monthly visit to Parkview Care Home. The care home team always make us feel very welcome, and they encourage the residents to get involved with whatever we are doing, so these visits are really rewarding.
In past sessions we've cleaned the minibus, rubbed down garden benches ready for the residents to paint, spruced up the courtyard so it's ready for people to sit outside in the warmer weather, done some gardening to keep the flowerbeds looking nice, played games and enjoyed crafting activities with the residents.

If you'd like to join the group run to get there, meet outside Crook Log Sports Centre, Brampton Road, Bexleyheath DA7 4HH at 6.35pm for a short warm-up. Then it's 2 km to the care home.
On our group run/walks we stick together and no-one is left behind, so it's ideal if you are new to running. We'll run back together afterwards or you can make your own way home from the task if you prefer.

Welcome to GoodGym Bexley!

Every Wednesday evening we get together and head to an organisation to complete a physical task that makes a real difference. Afterwards we often go to a nearby pub or café for some social time together.
To get there we offer an optional group run. Whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out, everyone is welcome. We'll run at a pace that keeps the group together, and no one is ever left behind.
Prefer to walk? We can usually offer a group walk too.
**The task**
The area around Welling Library always attracts litter, and we didn't manage to clear all the weeds and brambles along the side path and in front of the building on our last visit.
So it's time to go back and do our thing - picking up the rubbish 🗑️ and blitzing those pesky overgrown plants 🌱.
Afterwards you're welcome to join us at the Nag's Head for drinks ☕🍷🍻, and snacks 🍟 if you're feeling peckish .
Equipment is provided but please bring gardening gloves if you have them 🧤. It's an outdoor session so dress for the weather.
