[IMPACD CIC](https://impacd-cic.org.uk/) have asked for our help with bit of 'flyering' in the local area to spread the word about the free sessions they run at The Greenway Centre and invite more residents to join in.
We will be getting our steps in by dropping leaflets into doors in the area around The Greenway Centre.

The Nottingham Running Festival will take place at the iconic Nottingham Racecourse, one of the oldest racing facilities in the country and host of major events in both horse and greyhound racing. The course also takes you along the wide trail paths of Colwick Country Park and around the park’s stunning lakes!
There is the option to do the 5k, 10k or half marathon.

We'll be returning to the Sherwood Community Centre on 26th August 2026 to help with various jobs around the centre. This may involve a variety of tasks inside and outside, such as lifting and shifting items in the building, tidying cupboards, clearing leaves in the garden, and possibly some painting - something for everyone we hope!
**NOTE THIS TASK WILL RUN 7-8PM**
**Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and painty!**
Meet outside the Community Centre on Mansfield Road at 7pm.

[Forest Rec Junior parkrun](https://www.parkrun.org.uk/forestrec-juniors/) takes place every Sunday morning, providing a free, fun, and friendly 2k event for 4 to 14 year olds. They need a team of willing volunteers each week to help with jobs from marshalling the route (cheering on the runners), to helping to give out finish tokens and more.
No experience necessary and there are always people on hand if you have any questions.
**Where is Junior parkrun?**
Forest Rec Junior parkrun takes place at the Forest Recreation Ground, right in front of the Homemade Café (great for a beverage or snack afterwards!). Volunteers are needed from 8.30am until about 10am at the latest.

We've been asked to help repaint some railings for the
[Indian Community Centre Association](https://www.theicca.co.uk/), based at The Atrium on Hucknall Road.
All equipment will be provided, but please wear clothing you don't mind getting paint on, and maybe some gardening gloves or similar to keep hands clean – that paint really sticks to you!
