The production - inspired by the French film of the same name by Albert Lamorisse - tells the story of a little boy and his balloon.
The balloon not only can fly wherever it wishes but, above all, it can reciprocate the boy's friendship. Will the boy defend his inflatable friend from uncomprehending adults or a bunch of childish street urchins?
This poetic production for the youngest children is almost wordless. In cooperation with designer Berta Doubková, it was prepared by a local creative team (director Michaela Homolová, dramaturge Vít Peřina, music Filip Homola) that have created a number of award-winning titles for the youngest audience ( About a Lamb that Fell from Heaven, Choo. Choo. Whistle. Woof! , both seen previously at SAMPO Festival, and others).
The morning performances on Friday 29 August at 9.00 and 10.30 are held for daycare and other children's groups: registration at kultus.hel.fi from 3 August on. Additionally, individual tickets can be bought on the Puppet Theatre Sampo website.
The Thursday evening performance at 17.00 is open for all audiences. Tickets sold at Puppet Theatre Sampo . Basic ticket: EUR 15; support ticket: EUR 20.
