Learn how science is helping treat facial tumour disease in Tasmanian devils in this engaging Science Week talk.Join us at Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre this Science Week for an inspiring talk on efforts to protect the Tasmanian devil. Hear from a University of Sydney researcher about innovative work to help treat the devastating facial tumour disease affecting this iconic species.The session includes a 20 minute presentation followed by a 10 minute Q&A.Presented by the ARC Centre of Excellence for Innovations in Peptide and Protein Science.About the Scientist:Dr Andrea Schraven research integrates genome-wide and functional data to evaluate the impacts of conservation management interventions on threatened species. She specializes in conservation genetics and individual-based modelling to support decision-making for species in heterogeneous landscapes.Parking and facilities: Free public carparking.
