Luciana García Ensemble brings together queer musicians from diverse cultural and national backgrounds to explore sound as a space of identity, resistance, and collective imagination.
Through jazz, free improvisation, global influences, and stream-of-consciousness performance, this ensemble creates musical narratives that challenge conventions and celebrate multiplicity.
The compositions created by Luciana García draw from research in queer theory and lived queer experiences, aiming to promote equity, amplify LGBTQIA+ visibility, and foster a sense of community through music. García’s project explores how music and art can continue to expand their possibilities and dismantle all preconceived notions of what should be.

Luciana García is a Chilean pianist, visionary composer, improviser, and doctoral researcher from Santiago de Chile and based in Helsinki. They are renowned for their innovative fusion of contemporary jazz and Latin American roots.
Luciana channels their passion for social justice into their music, using it as a powerful platform for inspiring change and fostering community connections. With each performance and project, García weaves deep cultural narratives that reflect their commitment to equity and transformation.
