"Life is reflected on paper and canvas. I don’t know what’s coming – what colour or shape it will take this time. The paintings are reflections of everything around me, everything I’ve experienced and seen. You don’t have to understand everything. You can simply marvel at it! Yet it feels as though art is always true; it captures the essence of even the most mythical.
My art therapy studies at the Inartes Institute gave me the courage to use colour and, above all, the joy of painting. I’m happy when I get to paint.
The works on display were created over the last few years, since I retired. I spent my working life in the service of the Church as a hospital chaplain and a work supervisor. My interest in art has been a more or less influential undercurrent throughout my life.”
