HAM presents the works of Magdalena Abakanowicz (1930–2017), one of Poland’s most renowned artists, more extensively than ever before in Finland.

Magdalena Abakanowicz emerged as a pioneer in creating organic, fibre-based sculptures and installations in the 1960s and 1970s.

HAM’s grand arched halls will be filled with the artist’s iconic textile sculptures, “Abakans”, as well as impressive jute sculptures.
