Japanese Weekend at Pöllöwaari!
Our Chef de Cuisine Riku Ruuskanen elegantly combines Nordic ingredients and Japanese techniques and flavors. The result is a carefully constructed, multidimensional menu highlighting umami, freshness, and the finest ingredients.
During the dinner, you will encounter familiar elements in a new way: ponzu, miso, dashi broths, and fermented notes - all in balance with the refined Finnish cuisine.
Our sommeliers Ulla and Anssi have designed a beverage pairing for the weekend menu, where wines and sakes seamlessly accompany the courses. Both classic and more adventurous combinations are promised.
The menu for the weekend of September 18 - 19, 2026, can be prepared lactose-free and gluten-free (the menu contains soy). Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate other special dietary requirements during this weekend.
