The 2026 summer reading campaign in libraries is leaping towards developing reading skills.
The Lukuloikka campaign is aimed at the whole family. The campaign encourages children and young people, but also adults to read more. The campaign is implemented by the Seinäjoki City Library as part of its national special task of promoting reading and literacy library services (Seinäjoki Erte).
In Lukuloikka, reading minutes are collected. With the reading minutes, you can leap forward along the reading path by coloring the steps on the Lukuloikka campaign participation form according to how much you have read. One step on the reading path corresponds to 10 reading minutes. All kinds of reading, including listening to audiobooks, are counted towards the reading minutes.
Participation forms for the campaign are distributed in libraries across Finland. The campaign period is 1.6.-31.8.2026, during which time the participation form can be returned to the library participating in the campaign. After the campaign, three 50 € gift cards to the Suomalainen Kirjakauppa bookstore will be raffled among the participants. The prizes are sponsored by Suomalainen Kirjakauppa. Please note! You can participate in the raffle even if only part of the steps are colored. However, you can participate with a maximum of three forms.
