🌿 Ra-Horakhty — A Children’s Eco-Opera (Ages 6–12) ✨ A Journey of Compassion, Curiosity, and Discovery Written and composed by Rose Nolan, Ra-Horakhty is a newly created children’s opera filled with compassion, curiosity, and adventure. Developed in Berlin for audiences aged 6 to 12, it invites young people and their families on a musical journey of discovery—through the climate, the city, and the human imagination. At its core, Ra-Horakhty explores connection: to nature, to one another, and to ourselves. It gently asks how we can live well on a changing planet, suggesting that meaningful transformation is not only found in practical actions—such as cycling instead of driving or planting for biodiversity—but also in cultivating inner balance: peace within ourselves, peace with others, and peace with the living world around us. 🐦 The Story The story begins with the mysterious disappearance of the school’s falcon, Ra-Horakhty . Named after an ancient Egyptian solar god associated with the sun’s daily rebirth at dawn, symbolizing the renewal of life, this being becomes a living symbol of ecological balance—and of what is lost when natural systems are pushed beyond their limits.
