Ten new Ig Nobel Prize winners will be revealed at this ceremony — each has done something that makes people LAUGH, then THINK. A gaggle of Nobel Prize winners will physically present the Ig Nobel Prizes to the winners, surrounded by paper airplanes (thrown by YOU), alphorns, artist interpretations of the prizes, the 24/7 Lectures, and MUCH MORE! Discounted tickets are available for students (including PhD candidates) by showing your active student ID at the event. In order to keep offering cheaper tickets for students and keeping our organisation running, we offer a VIP ticket option. These "Millionaire" and "Billionaire" tickets receive the best seats in the house, and a special gift: a 1 million or 1 billion dollar note. (*Notes might be issued in semi-inflated defunct Zimbabwean currency.) This event will be filmed, broadcast live on the internet, and covered by news outlets.
