Welcome to Kontula for an inspiring day of Afro fashion, music, and multicultural vibes!
Enjoy a vibrant programme throughout the day featuring stand-up performances, DJ music, hair braiding, and a variety of food and product vendors. The highlight of the event will be a spectacular fashion show showcasing creations from five talented designers and brands.
The fashion show will feature: Esengo, AF Blueberry, KC Lawrence, F’Joy Couture
and AfroCheck.
The This is Kontula Catwalk will take place at Keskusaukio Square, Kontula Shopping Centre. A detailed event schedule will be published closer to the event date.
The event is organized by Diana Mansaray, founder and host of the ChatWithMissD talk show, and Jemima Owusu, founder of the AfroCheck fashion brand, in collaboration with Kontula Cultural Mall (Kontulan Kulttuuriostari).
The event is free and open to everyone.
