Contemporary chamber opera Eury / Orfeo descends into mythical mire and peatland ecologies, bringing together the vivid visual poetry and contemporary musical language of Milka Luhtaniemi and Lauri Supponen’s Eury with the Baroque classic Orfeo, arranged for Marianna Henriksson (keyboards) and Joonatan Rautiola (voice & saxophone).
Irene Suosalo’s animation art and Viktor Toikkanen’s sound design create a vivid, ever-transforming electronic landscape within the work.
