Tiina Raevaara (b. 1979) is an author, science journalist, biologist specializing in genetics, and Doctor of Philosophy who has been recognized with the State Award for Public Information Dissemination and the Pro scientia award from the Finnish Academy of Science. She has been selected as Science Journalist of the Year and awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Turku, as well as the Jaakko Juteini Award.
Raevaara has published 11 novels, a Runeberg Prize-winning short story collection, and five non-fiction books. The first part of the Eerika Hämeranta thriller series, Kaksoiskierre (2020), was selected as the winner of the Laurin Kirja audiobook award.
Raevaara's most recent work, Kaupunki jonka keskellä on emtsä, was published in the spring of 2026.
