Tervasaaren Tynnyri Sailing Competition & Traditional Sailing Ship Day 2026
On Saturday afternoon traditional sailing ships will compete against each other just off the Helsinki shore. Katajanokka and Kaivopuisto shorefronts are the best locations for watching the race.
After the race, the ships will dock to the Market Square to attend the Traditional Sailing Ship Meet on Sunday. All the ships will be open to the public on Sunday 10.00-16.00.
All of the ships from all over the coastline are open to the public. The public can visit both the sailing ships themselves and their crews.
On the ships and the pier there will be offered e.g. coffee and buns, salmon soup and archipelago music.
