Dates:
- Wed, 2 Sept 2026, 11:00–18:00
Welcome to Suomenlinna on the 2nd of September to discover the art of military horsemanship. Horses and riders in historical clothing will be going around the fortress during the day, but the best place to see them in action is at the Suomenlinna parade field at 12.00, where they’ll be presenting cavalry maneuvers and the traditions of the Dragoon forces.
The horses and their riders will also be outside the Military Museum and the submarine Vesikko from 12.30 onwards. These times are approximate, as the dragoons move at their own pace. The event is subject to weather conditions.
The Military Museum has additional activities all day long for the whole family. Come learn about the role of horses in wartime or let your creativity run wild in the horse arts-and-crafts workshop.
