The Pori Day Concert is Pori Sinfonietta’s Young Soloists Concert. A total of 14 young soloists will perform, having been selected through auditions held in spring 2026. The musicians range in age from 7 to 18, and the instruments featured include violin, cello, guitar, piano, trumpet, accordion, trombone and flute.
Each soloist will perform a piece or a movement from a concerto of their choice with Pori Sinfonietta. The concert will be conducted by Chief Conductor Erkki Lasonpalo.
The soloists are students of the Palmgren Conservatory, Rauma Music Institute, Huittinen Music Institute and Vakka-Suomi Music School.
Before the concert, the Palmgren Conservatory students’ Aulasoitto will take place in the foyer of Promenadisali. It begins at 18 o'clock.
