During the autumn season, Pori Sinfonietta will tour Kankaanpää and Rauma with the full orchestra. The tour spotlights the orchestra’s trumpeter Pedro Dantas Silva, who will perform Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto as soloist. Originally from Portugal, Pedro has served as Assistant Principal Trumpet of Pori Sinfonietta since 2025 and recently gave his Master’s recital at the Sibelius Academy.
The concert opens with Sibelius’s ever-beautiful Valse triste. The programme also includes Suite Ancienne (Suite in the Old Style) by the Norwegian composer Johan Halvorsen, originally composed for a theatre production. The work includes both serenades and movements inspired by Baroque dances.
In cooperation with the City of Rauma, the City of Kankaanpää and the Kankaanpää Music School.
The Pori concert on Wednesday 30.9. at 18.30 at Promenadisali is a Pori Sinfonietta season ticket and ten-concert card concert.
