Singer-songwriter Kristina Jacobsen (US) and cellist Carolina Stenbäck (Finland) join forces for an intimate acoustic show in Helsinki featuring songs from their recent album release, Camino Dreaming.
Written while walking the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain, these songs come to life through Jacobsen on voice and guitar and Stenbäck on cello, blending a Finnish folk sensibility with soulful American country. This interactive concert invites the audience into the creative process: following the performance, participants will be encouraged to share reflections, sensory impressions, and embodied responses to the songs.
About the Album:
Camino Dreaming is an album of original songs inspired by the many Caminos—pilgrimage routes across Europe, North America, and beyond—that Jacobsen has walked. Many of the songs on the album were written with other pilgrims she met while she walked. The album is both a musical journey and a meditation on movement, impermanence, and companionship, grounded in the textures of voice, acoustic guitar and cello. Recorded live around a single microphone in Helsinki, the intention of the album is to capture the intimacy, rawness, and immediacy of two musicians playing together in the same space.
