Kesy's personal approach to making music has not gone unnoticed in their energetic and atmospheric live performances. You may have heard sounds produced by this creative unit on curated Spotify playlists or on alternative music radio channels. The band's music was also extensively released last summer on the well-received LP "Landscape of the Extreme Border".
Faarao Pirttikangas has established a strong position as a developer of Finnish music culture, but also as a preserver and renewer of its tradition. In his solo performances, Pirttikangas has the skill to captivate his audience with a subtle yet deeply probing stage presence. In Jyväskylä, Faarao Pirttikangas will present his personal take on rootsy and touching primitive blues-hymn-pop.
L. Don Ōkami is a South Carolinian nomad who has found his way to Tampere with his banjo, via Switzerland, Germany, Japan, and Ireland. He has played American roots music, Americana, for over 50 years, and clawhammer banjo for nearly 40 years. After focusing on traditional banjo music for years, Don began to explore the space between traditional folk music, repetitive sound, and noise. The results of this exploration have been published on the albums "Judgement Day in Pyynikki" and "Banjo Machine Music". The combination of loopers, effects, and the banjo is something that must be experienced. Ōkami's listeners have done so in numerous European countries. Now this is also possible in Jyväskylä!
