There is no predicting where Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp will pop up next. True to its love of excess and adventure, the collective invites La Bâtie on a nomadic musical journey spanning more than seven locations across Greater Geneva: an invitation to follow the trail of an extraordinary orchestra, equally at home in concert halls and public spaces.
For nearly twenty years, the Geneva-based ensemble has forged a singular body of work blending rhythmic fervour with sonic experimentation and a spirit of freedom. Their latest album, _Ventre Unique_, continues this exploration on an even broader scale: voices multiply, textures intertwine, and the songs embrace the tremors of the present without ever giving way to despair.
Driven by an impressive constellation of brass, strings, percussion, marimbas and guitars, the eighteen musicians create music that is generous, ever-shifting and intensely alive. A sonic odyssey to be experienced up close, somewhere between collective celebration and a joyful escapade away from the beaten track.
