Step into a blue world where instinct & animals meet!
The Memory of the Herd is a blue world built around animals, inherited memory and ancient instincts. This exhibition is about what lives inside people instinctively: fear, courage, direction, belonging, and the invisible knowledge people receive from those who came before them.
In Jevgenia’s paintings, the bull is a symbol of strength and resilience that acts as a vessel - something ancient, still, and present.
Jevgenia Vassiljeva is a contemporary artist based in Tallinn, Estonia. Her work is centred on large-scale acrylic paintings of animals and symbols.
After studying Graphic Design at the Estonian Academy of Arts, Jevgenia was drawn to symbols that feel ancient and immediate at the same time - bulls, hares, horses, moons, lines, and hidden marks.
