North London Green belt walk between tube stations

Dates:

Thu, 17 Sept 2026, 11:00–12:45

Join GoodGym Barnet for a relaxed fitness walk through some of North London’s hidden green spaces, all within the London Green Belt 🌿

This is a social, inclusive walk — ideal if you enjoy being active, meeting people, and discovering local nature, whether or not you usually run.

The route

We’ll walk from Finchley Central Underground Station to Mill Hill East, following the beautiful Dollis Brook and heading into Darlands Nature Reserve, including the peaceful Darlands Lake.

Expect:

• Woodland paths and open green spaces

• Varied scenery throughout

• A real “escape the city” feel — without leaving London

☕ Social stop

There’s a coffee / lunch stop en route, and time to chat and get to know each other. As with all GoodGym sessions, the social side is just as important as the movement.

👟 Who is this for?

• Walkers of all abilities

• People curious about GoodGym

• Those returning to fitness

• Anyone who enjoys the outdoors and good company

You don’t need to be fast, competitive, or experienced — just comfortable walking for a few hours.

⏱️ Practical details

• Start time: 11:00am

• Duration: approx. 3–4 hours

• Terrain: mostly good paths, can be muddy in places

• What to bring: suitable footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, water
