Ocean Futurisms is a series of animated short films, inviting audiences to step into alternative, science-based futures for the ocean. Designed to be thought-experiments that inspire discussion about real-world change, the films are based on careful research and speculative fiction. This event includes a screening of the films and a hands-on introduction to the world-building approaches behind the project.
Cost: This workshop would be ideal for creative practitioners, university students,
technologists; people comfortable with independent research. Participants would
be encouraged to bring their own laptops/tablets to find real-world events that
could seem stranger even than the one they invent. Participants would require wifi
access, power sockets for devices, and places to sit and discuss with their group.
