Echoes of the Abyss addresses the overlooked issue of chemical weapons dumped on the ocean floor. These remnants of past conflicts threaten biodiversity, alter water chemistry and act as environmental time bombs. Based on research conducted during the artist’s expedition with the Tara Ocean Foundation in the Baltic Sea, the talk hosted by researchers from the Catholic Private University Linz explores the intersection of artistic research, marine science, history and ecological destruction.
