The day trip will take you to the southeastern part of South Konnevesi. The area is a sheltered, labyrinthine archipelago with the most rugged rocky shores and narrowest straits in the national park. There is certainly plenty to see and experience for everyone from beginners to experienced paddlers. South Konnevesi also has the strongest osprey population in Central Finland and plenty of their nests. The canoeing trip will include a long snack break on a deserted island.
Difficulty level of the kayaking trip:
Easy, also suitable for less experienced kayakers. The speed of the kayaking trip is adjusted according to the experience of paddlers and weather condition. Participants must be able to swim. Persons under 18 years of age may participate in kayaking only with a guardian or with written permission.
Duration:
The duration of the kayaking trip is 4 hours 30 minutes -5 hours and the kayaking distance is approximately 12 km.
Safety:
If weather conditions (wind speed over 8 m/s) do not allow for a safe kayaking trip, we reserve the right to modify and, if necessary, shorten the trip program or change the trip date. The kayaking instructor trained by the Canoeing and Rowing Federation has completed basic and advanced first aid courses, the tourism industry safety pass (MaTuPa), and the hygiene passport.
