Dates:

Fri, 18 Sept 2026, 19:00–21:00

It’s springtime in old Russia, and as crowds throng the Shrovetide Fair, passions are rising. But a puppet can’t have feelings - can it?

Toys come to life, and music weaves delightful puzzles: there’s a definite playfulness about this multicoloured concert from guest conductor Elim Chan.

Soprano Claire de Sévigné goes down the rabbit hole of Unsuk Chin’s delicious nonsense and two neglected Czech classics set toes tapping and hearts glowing.
