GoodGym B&D have been invited back to complete our second session at the The White House garden. Check out the Insta reel from our first session to get a feel for what to expect
Until recently a derelict 18th century farmhouse, in 2016 The WhIte House transfomed into a public space for art and social activity, hosting a public programme from poetry to painting to gardening.
Join us at this fascinating location to complete some hands on, practical tasks to help enhance the garden for residents to enjoy activities and events this Summer.
🧤 **What We’ll Do**
Lifting and moving some heavier items ready to be removed from the garden
Some lighter maintanence tasks (weeding, cutting back overgrowth etc.)
Preparing the large shed for painting
🕕 **Timings**
6pm (optional) - meet outside Becontree station for a group run / walk (3km) to The White House
6.30pm - arrive at The White House for introduction & safety briefing.
6:35 –7.25 – Task time!
7.25 – 7.30pm – Wrap-up and high fives
7.30pm – Finish
🌞 **Why It Matters**
Improving and maintaining the garden will enhance resident's experience when particpating in the Summer schedule of programmes, activities and events.
