Since 2017, Time’s Up has been researching, developing and building Turnton2047, bringing it to life through immersive environments. At its heart is a transformed economy that prioritizes the wellbeing of people and the planet while challenging existing concentrations of wealth and power. It also explores the potential of marine regeneration to restore damaged ecosystems.
Developed in collaboration with Theater Phönix, this immersive audio experience invites audiences into the everyday lives of Turnton2047’s inhabitants. Across seven listening stations, visitors take on the role of guests at the Medusa Bar, following the story through a series of episodic scenes. With each change of seat, they are drawn deeper into this possible future, where environmental challenges coexist with a society committed to creating a good life for everyone.
